Before the installation team arrives, clear the area around the planned installation location by moving furniture, removing wall decorations, and ensuring there is unobstructed access to both the interior wall where the indoor unit will be mounted and the exterior area where the outdoor unit will be placed. Confirm the installation plan with the technicians in advance, including the preferred placement of both units, the routing of the refrigerant lines, and the location of the electrical outlet or dedicated circuit. It is also helpful to have a dustsheet or old newspapers on the floor to catch drilling debris, and to ensure that an authorized adult is present throughout the installation to oversee the work and address any questions or decisions that arise on-site.
